I am the Mutant?!
I work for a Christian book publishing company. I’m in charge of the finance department. Because of my background in accounting, several of my coworkers suggested that I watch Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium.
The accountant in this fun little movie can’t see the magic that takes place all around him. In an ironic twist, the mutant accountant ends up helping the new owner of the emporium to see her own magic.
This is one of those movies that has educational value slipped in throughout. Here’s what I took away… In spiritual matters, I am the mutant. I have great difficulty seeing the magic since I can’t seem to make the logical leap to faith. The irony in my situation is that from the business side I see more potential, magic if you will, than any of the owners see. I hope I’ll be able to help them see the magic in themselves and ultimately the tremendous potential of the company.

And here I thought you brought that home for the little people of our house to enjoy. I enjoyed your analogy. Keep up the good work of helping others to see the “magic.”
My thoughts are of course totally different then yours as we process things differently. A charming movie to inspire me to live life as a daily adventure and to keep that up no matter what age and when life comes to an end don’t be afraid to say Goodbye and let go.
